Netflix’s hit sci-fi superhero drama, “Raising Dion,” has been renewed for a second season! The announcement was recently made by the streaming service after being named as one of the network’s ten most popular series of 2019! Since the show was also deemed as the number one most popular kids and family series of 2019, it was pretty much guaranteed that “Raising Dion” would be brought back for part two!

“Raising Dion” follows the experiences of young Dion who is being raised by his mother Nicole in Atlanta following the unfortunate death of Dion’s father and Nicole’s husband, Mark. Nicole discovers that her son has superhero-like abilities and in addition to the struggles of raising him as a single mother, she now has to protect him from those who want to exploit what he can do.

Deadline says that the second season of the show will have 8 hour-long episodes where Michael B. Jordan will return as one of the executive producers and production is set to begin this year. There’s been no official word yet on when we can expect to see the show make its official return but we are so excited to know that it is!
