Whewwww! Let’s buckle up for another week of New Music Friday!! Will it be the worst music that’s ever vibrated my eardrums or will it be the best New Music Friday yet in my opinion? Let’s get started!!

“Bored” by Laufey

My Rating: 10/10

My Thoughts: As always, Laufey ate with the vocals.  I absolutely love the vibe of this song!!!!

“1:59” by Normani (featuring Gunna)

My Rating: 5/10

My Thoughts: It’s definitely a song! For me, though, it isn’t at all amazing. It isn’t HORRIBLE or anything. It’s just…a song!!!

“Neverender” by Justice and Tame Impala

My Rating: 7/10

My Thoughts: This song definitely gives Tame Impala vibes!!! I can’t say it’s extraordinary or anything though. I’d say it’s just kind of the usual but jazzed up a bit.

“OKAY” by J.T.:

My Rating: Normal scale—7/10 || Party scale—10/10.

My Thoughts: This is the type of song that I’ll dance to if I’m in a certain mood! I don’t LOVE the song but I don’t HATE it either. It’s just more of a party/exercise mood kind of song.

“Can’t Come Back” by Coi Leray:

My Rating: 0.5/10

My Thoughts: I wasn’t feeling this song at all. The only part of the song I liked were the vocals. Also, the instrumental version seemed to be missing something, but I still can’t put my finger on exactly what that something would be. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in this song. However, I still say you should check it out for yourself to see if you feel differently!

“Stay Awhile” by Froggieraw (featuring Ari Lennox):

My Rating: 10/10

    My Thoughts: Now I know this just came out today, but I feel safe to say that this song is underrated! I’ll DEFINITELY add this to one of my dozens of playlists!!

   Final Thoughts:

Overall, I wouldn’t say this week was HORRIBLE. It definitely was not the best week of New Music Friday. To me, there were a few rough listens, but nevertheless, I would rate this week a — drumroll please! — 7 out of 10!! I was hoping this week’s new releases would have been more impressive, but it wasn’t the worst week of music that I’ve heard!
